"Video games are interactive stories. I believe the stories we tell each other profoundly influence how we see the world."

Hi! I’m Abigail.

I designed a game called “Open Sorcery”. It was featured at Indiecade and PAX and won a few awards.

I am about to come out with a sequel: “Open Sorcery: Sea++”.

I spend most of my time designing independent video games. I do some freelance writing and game design.

I am massively privileged to be able to do what I do. It’s possible because I’m white and my family is affluent enough that I don’t have college debt.

I do what I can to pay back what I owe by:

Writing stories that provoke thought.
Writing characters who defy stereotypes.
Trying to inject progressive ideas into everything I touch.
Donating to bail and mutual aid funds.
Going to protests.
Designing websites about practical ways to improve all our lives by defunding the police.

Video games are interactive stories. I believe the stories we tell each other profoundly influence how we see the world.

And it is very important that more women get the chance to tell their stories.
